Monday, January 9, 2017
The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District management team and members of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) #416 have reached a two-year contract agreement. Members of the ATU #416 voted in favor of accepting the proposed contract at a special meeting on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
“We are pleased that members of the ATU #416 voted in favor of accepting the proposed contract. We know this has been a long process, and it has caused some uncertainty for our customers. We want to thank them for their patience and understanding as we look forward to continuing to provide safe and reliable bus service in the Greater Peoria Area,” said CityLink Interim General Manager Doug Roelfs.
The GPMTD Board of Trustees will officially vote to accept the contract at the board meeting on Monday, January 23, 2017. If approved, the contract will be retroactive to December 1, 2016 with an expiration date of November 30, 2018.
