The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (CityLink) has made the decision to discontinue its Park & Ride services for all future Bradley men’s basketball games held at Carver Arena, the Broadway Theatre Series held at the Peoria Civic Center, performances held at the Illinois Central College Performing Arts Center, and Peoria Symphony Orchestra performances held at the Peoria Civic Center effective immediately (July 12, 2017).
The determining factor for discontinuing Park & Ride service is Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations.  Due to Charter Bus Service Regulations from the FTA, GPMTD established a Charter Policy in May 2016.  This policy states that “as a grantee of federal funds, the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (GPMTD) is prohibited from using its federally-funded equipment and facilities to provide charter service.”  Under this policy, Park & Ride services are considered charter service and cannot be exempt.
CityLink will continue to provide the IHSA March Madness Express Shuttle. You can learn more about the March Madness Express Shuttle by clicking here.
We will continue to send correspondence to our Park & Ride subscriber mailing list regarding March Madness Transportation. A decision will be forthcoming regarding the Park & Ride service to downtown 4th of July activities.
