A unique Cat® Multi-Terrain Loader has taken up residence in the lobby of the Caterpillar Visitors Center during the month of November – and it is not the typical yellow iron visitors may be used to seeing. Mark your calendars, the 2015 Peoria Historical Calendar will be available in mid-November! This year the calendar is going back to its roots by featuring 13 historical photographs of the downtown Peoria Warehouse District. The photographs were provided by the Peoria Historical Society and Bradley University’s Special Collections Center, along with most of the historical content for each page. CityLink is excited to feature unique photos of an area of Peoria that is undergoing a revitalization.
CityLink employees Dave Atkinson and Jerry Miller recently came up with the concept and construction of a new bike rack for demonstration purposes. While there are many bicycle riders in Peoria, some may be cautious about using the bus racks, because they’ve never used one before and they don’t want to hold up the bus. The demonstration bike rack provides a hands-on opportunity for bike users and the general public to learn how to operate the rack.
