Peoria Chiefs Players Take CityLink to Work in New Video

CityLink partnered with the Peoria Chiefs to shoot a video on April 17 featuring five Chiefs players commuting to work at Dozer Park by taking the bus. According to the Peoria Chiefs, several players take the bus on a regular basis because they don't have vehicles available while they play in Peoria. We knew we had to take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase the Chiefs taking CityLink on their commute to work!

We lucked out with the weather the day of the video shoot. The sun was shining and there wasn't a raindrop to be found, which has been a rarity in Central Illinois lately.

The players started out at the bus stop located near the Midstate College campus on Northmoor. (We will identify each player's name and number later in this post.)

Their best buddy, Homer, just happened to be on the bus when operator LaTasha Guyton stopped at the shelter to pick up the players.

The players filed onto one of the new hybrid buses to start their commute to work.

The players and Homer thanked LaTasha for providing them with a safe and comfortable ride.

Of course Homer led the pack by being the first one off the bus when they arrived at the Transit Center!

Homer was so relaxed from the ride that he had to take a quick break on one of the benches under the canopy at the Transit Center.

L-R: Shane Billings (#36), Ronnie Williams (#3), Jordan Hicks (#12), Homer, Ian Oxnevad (#7), and Matt Davis (#38) pose in front of the hybrid bus at the Transit Center.

The players made the short walk to Dozer Park from the Transit Center and they certainly looked happy and relaxed after their experience riding CityLink!

Homer led the way as the players entered the main gates at Dozer Park, ready for
their game that evening against Cedar Rapids.

This video shoot was a lot of fun and provided a great opportunity to show that Chiefs players ride the bus to work, too. You can watch the finished video below. And, don't forget you can purchase up to four Chiefs tickets for just $5 each when you present a CityLink bus pass at the Dozer Park box office for Sunday-Wednesday home games this season!
