CityLink Partners with Bradley Student Senate and Smith Career Center for Snapchat Contest for Bradley University Students

CityLink recently partnered with the Student Senate and Smith Career Center at Bradley University for a contest on the social media platform Snapchat called “BU on the Bus.”
Students were invited to participate in the contest by posting creative videos and/or pictures while taking a CityLink bus or at the Transit Center to their Snapchat story. Contest entries were then downloaded and emailed to a representative from Bradley’s Student Senate. The most creative entries had the opportunity to win a gift card to local restaurants.
The purpose of the Snapchat contest was to promote the use of CityLink to Bradley University students who may not be aware of the public transportation options available in Peoria or may be hesitant to try taking the bus.

The first place entry featured three Bradley students making their way from campus to the Transit Center.

They even had the chance to ride one of the new hybrid buses on their way back to campus.

The full-length video of their contest entry can be viewed below.

The first place winners of the Bradley Snapchat Contest "BU on the Bus" won a gift card to Sugar Wood-Fired Bistro. L-R: Hope, Stephanie, and Katrina. All three students are seniors at Bradley University.

The second place entry featured two Bradley students on an important quest to find good cheeseburgers in downtown Peoria.

They found what they were looking for at Ulrich’s Rebellion Room on Main Street.

Unfortunately we were not able to get a photo of the second place winners when they picked up their prize, but they won a gift card to One World Cafe.

You can view the second place entry on CityLink's official YouTube Channel here.

While the turn out for this contest was lower than expected and desired, the creative and fun content of both entries more than made up for the lack of participation. “BU on the Bus” hopefully provided more awareness of the great service CityLink conveniently has available for students at Bradley, and it also carved a path to strengthen the relationship between CityLink and Bradley University.
