CityLink & ATU #416 Participate in Kroger Community Report
CityLink and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local #416 was asked several months ago (WAY back in February, to be exact!) to participate in this year's Kroger Community Report because of the long-time partnership that exists between CityLink, the ATU #416, and Kroger for the Stuff-A-Bus food drive. CityLink, the ATU #416, Kroger, and its media partners of Cumulus Media (radio) and WMBD/WYZZ (TV) are currently gearing up for the 29th Annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive to benefit the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service, so we thought this was the perfect time to share some of the best shots from the photoshoot.
Participating in the photoshoot was CityLink Director of Marketing, Emily Watson; ATU Local #416 President, Ron Cox; and Peoria Friendship House President/CEO, Melanie McNiff. Thankfully, the weather was not as bitterly cold or snowy as it could have been on the day of the photoshoot!
The photographer was able to get a beautiful shot of the classic 1975 bus used for Stuff-A-Bus with Peoria Friendship House located in the background.

Despite it not being the warmest of days, Emily, Ron, and Melanie enjoyed being part of the photoshoot, and are looking forward to this year's Stuff-A-Bus food drive. Stuff-A-Bus will officially kickoff on Friday, October 28, and the goal is to raise 13 tons of food this year. We want to OVERSTUFF the bus! All of the Kroger locations in Peoria and the Kroger in East Peoria will serve as drop off locations during the food drive, along with several other locations. More details will be available when it gets closer to the kickoff on October 28. Friendship House has provided more than 206,000 meals to those in need in Peoria in 2015, and the goal of Stuff-A-Bus is to ensure they can continue providing those meals in 2017.
