The 2016 Peoria Historical Calendar is now available! The calendar features a collection of streetcar photographs taken by local train enthusiast Paul Stringham in the 1930s and 1940s when Illinois Power ran the electric streetcars in Peoria. Stringham’s interest in streetcars stemmed from his father’s occupation as a streetcar motorman and car barn foreman for Illinois Power. Stringham passed away in 2005 at the age of 92, and his photo collection is now owned by Dr. Richard Deller.

No longer will CityLink bus riders in Peoria have to wait until the first of the month to reap the benefits of a multi-day bus pass. Previously, the transit company offered a dated monthly pass. The pass was only good for the month (June, July, August, etc.) stamped on the front of the pass. If a passenger only had money in the middle of the month to purchase this pass, it was not cost effective.
The new 30-Day Pass can be purchased at any time during the month and is valid for 30 days from the first use.
In addition to the new 30-Day Pass, CityLink has rolled out a Day Pass...Read more
