CityLink Partnering with Student Senate and Smith Career Center at Bradley University for Snapchat Contest Feb. 20 – Mar. 21
Monday, February 20, 2017
CityLink is partnering with the Student Senate and Smith Career Center at Bradley University for a contest on the social media platform Snapchat called “BU on the Bus” from February 20, 2017 until March 21, 2017.
Students are invited to participate in the contest by posting creative videos and/or pictures while taking a CityLink bus or at the downtown CityLink Transit Center (407 SW Adams St.) to their Snapchat story. Contest entries should be downloaded and emailed to the Student Senate’s City and Local Affairs Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 21, 2017. Participants should include their name and student ID number with their entry. The top three most creative entries will win a gift card to a local restaurant or coffee shop.
CityLink routes that access Bradley University’s campus are the #1 University Route and the #5 Main Route. A limited amount of free CityLink Day Passes are now available for contest participants at the front desk at the Smith Career Center in Burgess Hall. If a student is unable to get a free Day Pass before they are gone, they may ride any CityLink bus for $0.50 per ride with their student ID card. Exact change is required.
“The purpose of the Snapchat contest is to promote the use of CityLink to Bradley University students who may not be aware of the public transportation options available in Peoria, or may be hesitant to try taking the bus,” said CityLink Director of Marketing Emily Watson. “It is my hope that this contest will not only provide awareness of CityLink to students at Bradley, but it will also strengthen the relationship between CityLink and Bradley University,” continued Watson.
