CityLink Participates in Events on Local College Campuses to Promote Public Transportation to Students

CityLink recently participated in several events on the campuses of Illinois Central College and Bradley University to promote using public transportation to students.

CityLink was on Bradley University's campus on August 20 for the 2018 Student Activities Fair held at the Renaissance Coliseum.  We were back on Bradley's campus again on August 21 for the 2018 Part-time Employment Expo, which was also held at the Renaissance Coliseum.

Celebrate Peoria Video Features CityLink Bus Operator

The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce released a video to celebrate Peoria and uploaded the video on July 28 for "National Day of Dance." Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Communications Manager, Haley Tenney, put together clips of several local businesses, organizations, and familiar faces from the local community. Within the video, CityLink bus opeator, Tina Hobson, is shown lip syncing. You can view the whole video below.

CityLink would like to congratulate Shaun Livingston on winning the 2018 NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors. On June 15, CityLink and its passengers celebrated the 13th Annual Dump the Pump Day. Dump the Pump Day is a national event that is celebrated by transit agencies across the United States. Passengers were surprised by CityLink employees with prizes such as 30-day passes, Peoria Chiefs tickets, and restaurant gift cards.

CityLink participated in the first ever live television event promoting the 33rd Annual Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate Race for the Cure on Friday, May 12, 2018.  The event took place at the Metro Centre where WEEK morning news anchor Gina Morss and meteorologist Nick Jansen broadcast live from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. to promote the Race, which took place the following morning on May 13.  CityLink was invited to participate because it was providing a free shuttle for...Read more

CityLink Celebrates 10th Annual Jerome Lilly Passenger Appreciation Day with Lilly Family

CityLink celebrated its 10th Annual Jerome Lilly Passenger Appreciation Day on Friday, April 20, 2018 by offering free rides on fixed route buses the entire day. In addition, CityLink also handed out a pair of free earbuds to passengers at the Transit Center as a "thank you" gift.

This year, several of Jerome Lilly's family members stopped by the Transit Center. Those present included this sisters Bonita Lilly and Cheryl Lilly-Anthony, his brother Tim Lilly, and father Thomas Lilly. CityLink Honors Rosa Parks & Celebrates Black History Month by Reserving Seat on Bus 2243 for the Entire Month of February

Passengers who ride bus 2243 the month of February may notice a special seat towards the front of the bus. That is because CityLink has seat reserved in honor of Rosa Parks. The seat is in conjunction with celebrating the life of the Civil Rights pioneer and Black History Month.
