During the third quarter of 2014, 918,929 rides were taken on CityLink, a record quarter for the Peoria transit system. This is a 4.99 percent increase over the same quarter last year, representing an increase of 43,722 more trips. This is the first time in the history of the Greater Peoria Mass Transit System that passenger ridership for a calendar quarter surpassed 900,000.
In addition, CityLink ridership in October 2014 reached 331,935 the highest ever in a single month.

The 27th Annual Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive to benefit the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service Food Pantry officially wrapped up on Monday, December 1. CityLink and CityLift will not offer service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27. The CityLink Transit Center and administrative offices will also be closed. On Wednesday, November 26, the last CityLink line up will depart from the Transit Center at 8:45 p.m. and then all buses will return to the garage after reaching the end of the outbound route. A new event has been added to the 27th annual Stuff-a-Bus food drive to benefit the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service.
New to this year’s campaign is the Day of Stuffing, set for Friday, November 14. On that day, WMBD and the Peoria Cumulus radio stations will be at the Kroger store on Lake Avenue broadcasting live starting at 6 a.m. and continuing throughout the day until 7 p.m., accepting food donations in person. CityLink will offer free rides to veterans on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. Passengers are asked to present valid veteran identification to the bus operator upon boarding the bus.
