CityLink Initiates Program to Bring Bus Benches Into Compliance
Tuesday, October 13, 2015
CityLink has initiated a program to remove bus stop benches that are not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and City of Peoria regulations.

The standards are in compliance with Public Right Of Way Access Guidelines (PROWAG). To comply with accessibility the bus benches have to be placed on a five foot by eight foot concrete pad and provide a paved accessible route to the sidewalks.

The local taxpayer portion of CityLink expenses is expected to remain essentially flat and potential reductions in state funding would likely require reductions in hours of service.
